Tabs + Events

Tabs: Our Tabs program is a great way to let your dorm, club, or other org enjoy our drinks + vibes together! Tabs allow for customers to order any drink and have their group pay for their order when the tab closes. To set up a tab:

  1. Fill out the form (embedded below the cancellation policy!) and await a confirmation email from our Community + Culture Captain.

  2. 48 hours’ notice is required to set up tabs. If you’re cutting it close, feel free to show up day-of, and we can set one up at the counter.

  3. After you fill out the form, you will receive an email from Square to add your credit card information. You will receive an email with an itemized receipt the day after your tab.

Events: If you already have a tab, we'd also love to partner with you on major creative + culture events! Think disco bingo, mini fashion show, tango workshop... feel free to fill out the form, and email oncallcafe@assu.stanford.edu for additional planning!

Cancellation Policy

At On Call, we strive to serve all students joyfully and empathetically, with the shared understanding of what it means to be a Stanford student and the different needs that the On Call space can serve for you.

To function as a student cafe, we are under contractual obligation to ASSU to meet minimum break even sales each night. Part of our ability to meet this break even is through the tabs we host in partnership with you!

We understand that unforeseen circumstances and last minute change of plans happen unpredictably. However, due to last minute cancellations, we are not able to serve other organizations who may have been interested in hosting tabs or events (to make up for the event that was supposed to happen), which puts us at a financial deficit for the week’s operations.

Thus, we have to also do what is fair for our student staff and to reward the work and coordination it took to make the event happen. We ask that as a mutual commitment for us to serve your organization and for you for collaborating with us, to respect the following terms and conditions:

[ ] By hosting an tab/event with On Call Café, I therefore adhere to the following policies and consent to paying any fees incurred in the case that my event is cancelled or postponed:

  • Any changes to a tab/event (such as postponement, cancellation, or other alterations in logistics) must be communicated to the Community & Culture Team by Saturday before the date of the event; doing so will allow for no additional charges made to the organization. This is to ensure that we are able to make changes to our In The Cards and Instagram schedule announcement posts in a timely manner.

  • If the tab/event has over a $600 budget, changes must be communicated by Thursday before the event. This is to ensure that our Operations Team can adjust ingredient orders for the following week.

  • Any changes made to a tab/event after the provided deadlines listed previously are subject to be charged for the following fees:

    Fees:

    • Tabs Only

      • Less than than $250 → Flat Rate of $25 Cancellation Fee

      • Greater than $250 → 30% Cancellation Fee

    • Tabs + Events

      • Less than than $250 → Flat Rate of $75 Cancellation Fee

      • Greater than $250 → 30% Cancellation Fee

  • The On Call Cafe Captains have the right to review and adjust the following rates dependent on each event’s requests (I.E. special drink request, adjusted operational hours, preordered ingredients, or any additional costs incurred in coordinating a cancelled/postponed event)
